Villa Cantina began it's life at the hand of noted Newport Beach architect Eric Mossman. You can see his wonderful work here: http://www.ericfmossman.com/ . It was to be a vacation home for his family on Lake Nacimiento near Paso Robles, California.

Unfortunately, or fortunately for us, it was never finished. We owned a cabin nearby that we were outgrowing as our family expanded. When "Villa Cantina" came on the market we jumped in head first. My husband and son build wonderful homes, and we are a family of workers. Christmas vacation we began the task of completing this beauty! In the next few months I will chronicle our work in progress.

I am a designer but my biggest strength is sourcing unusual, unique and affordable decor. Every dollar needs to be used wisely on this project and it needs to be completed in a timely manner so our family can enjoy it as well as others. I hope you will enjoy traveling this path with us. I will look to you the reader for inspiration and guidance along the way! The kitchen & dining area will be the first to complete. Tomorrow I will post before pictures of the present area, and inspiration for completion of the area.
